A learning journey

To help you gain your qualification, Protocol Skills offers a learning journey that begins with an assessment of your training needs and the development of a learning plan. This establishes the process you will follow, and introduces the support and guidance of your Training Assessor.

A successful journey includes:

1. Initial Assessment

This establishes your training needs and your eligibility for funding.

2. A Learning Plan

Your Training Assessor helps you to choose the right qualification, and then works with you to develop a tailored schedule, and study action plan.

3. Work-based Learning

Most of your learning will take place at work (although some tests may be done at local centres). So while you're building up your portfolio of skills, you can learn and earn at the same time!

4. Support, Assessment & Review

You'll get to know your Training Assessor as they'll visit you in work at least once a month. This enables them to monitor your progress, whilst providing you with guidance and support.

5. Achievement and Certification

At the end of your course the quality of your work will be assessed, and you can then be awarded your qualification.

6. Celebrate Success

Along with your employer, Protocol Skills believes in acknowledging the efforts made and the achievements gained. Everyone benefits from a job well done!
