What we offer
Access ......
...... is for school leavers looking for that first step on the career ladder. Learners will undertake a structured work preparation programme as well as Essential Skills and Life Skills qualifications.
Level 2 Apprenticeships ......
...... are work-based employment opportunities for young people aged 16-18 years old. They are available in the following occupational areas:
o Business & Administration
o Call Handling
o Multi Skilled Hospitality Service
o Retail
o Team Leading
Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships ......
...... offer learners over 16 the opportunity to develop good levels of skills and to progress within their career. They are suitable for learners who have achieved GCSE Grades in Maths and English and are more likely to have had some form of work experience or a part-time job. The programmes are an exciting way of gaining skills and qualifications that immediately contribute to professional skills development without having to study full-time.
Advanced Apprenticeships are available in the following areas:
o Business & Administration
o Contact Centre Operations
o Multi skilled Hospitality Supervision
o Food Preparation & Cooking
o Management
o Retail
All Apprenticeship frameworks are developed by the industry or sector in which they will be implemented and therefore encompass all the skills required to become a craftsman, technician or manager within that area.
All Apprentices would work up to 40 hours per week, however they would not work more than 5 days in a row, and all would receive a wage.
We aim to ensure that all Apprentices are offered the opportunity to gain an employed position with the participating employer. This can happen at anytime and does not affect the delivery of the NVQ qualification the Apprentice is undertaking.
Schools
We are working closely with a number of schools in Northern Ireland to deliver a wide range of vocational programmes, from one day a week over the school year, to short six-week programmes. Many of the programmes are funded by YESIP (Youth Education Social Inclusion Partnership) under EU Funding.
