The Qualifications and Credit Framework

The Qualifications and Credit Framework or QCF is a new framework for creating and accrediting qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, designed to make vocational qualifications easier to understand, more accessible and relevant.  The QCF:

  • Enables work-based training and learning to be recognised and formally accredited as a qualification
  • Involves employers in designing qualifications suitable to their individual business needs
  • Enables learners to work towards qualifications bit by bit around other commitments they may have

Please find below a number of resources designed to answer any questions you may have regarding the introduction of the QCF.
