The Qualifications and Credit Framework
The Qualifications and Credit Framework or QCF is a new framework for creating and accrediting qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, designed to make vocational qualifications easier to understand, more accessible and relevant. The QCF:
- Enables work-based training and learning to be recognised and formally accredited as a qualification
- Involves employers in designing qualifications suitable to their individual business needs
- Enables learners to work towards qualifications bit by bit around other commitments they may have
Please find below a number of resources designed to answer any questions you may have regarding the introduction of the QCF.
Further information on the QCF can be obtained from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority website.
